The trailer of Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra’s Kesari is out. The movie is a period drama based on the Battle of Saragarhi where 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897. The movie is directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apurva Mehta and Sunir Kheterpa.
Within 6 hours of dropping the trailer, it has amassed 4 million view with more than 3 lakh likes and about 30k comments.
Talking about the movie, Akshay had told PTI,
“It is for the first time that I am doing a war film, it is new for me. So I am very excited about it.”
Parineeti Chopra, who is sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar for the very first time in Kesari, said while talking to reporters in an event-
“It has been a dream to work with Akshay for a long time. He is a Punjabi and so am I. And, we are doing a Punjabi film together.”
