Earlier this week, after Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot, an article from ‘The Cut’ made sexist and racist accusations against Priyanka Chopra. The writer behind the article, ‘Mariah Smith’ has now come forward with an apology.
‘The Cut’s infamous and controversial article on Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas relationship came to the limelight for all the wrong reasons. The article was titled “Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ love for real?” and was full of infuriating insinuations about Priyanka Chopra. From calling her a global scam artist to questioning her relationship with Nick Jonas, the writer didn’t leave any stone unturned to show Priyanka in a bad light.
The ridiculous accusations against Priyanka Chopra made Internet fume with rage. People condemned the article as extremely racist and sexist. After the backlash, the publication immediately removed the articles from its website and posted a public apology on its website as well as on Twitter.
Priyanka Chopra, however, remained unperturbed by the insinuations and shrugged it off saying that these random things don’t bother her as she is in a happy place right now.
Now, the writer, Mariah Smith, has come forward with an apology. Check out her tweet-
