Richa Chadha is currently gearing up to play the role of a lawyer in the film ‘Section 375’ which is being directed by Ajay Bahl. The courtroom drama also features Akshaye Khanna in a lead role alongside Richa.
Richa has been known for her strong onscreen presence and the intense characters she chooses. She indeed puts a lot of hard work and effort to get into the skin of her characters. This time too, Richa has left no stone unturned in order to perfect the role of the lawyer. As a part of her preparation for the role, she has decided to stay away from making any public appearances for the coming few weeks. On top of it, she is going to minimise her travel to and fro the sets.
Richa was quoted saying by an entertainment portal,
“I want to stay in the zone of my character. We did a massive portion of courtroom sequences which needed me to stay focus, as it needed for me to be in the element and be in the character which was high on emotions. Shooting for courtroom scenes needs a lot of channelling of emotions and thus my life was all about going to the sets and back home. I haven’t met anyone or been part of any social gatherings as I wanted to maintain a low profile for this period”.
Earlier, it was reported that Richa even met law professors from law colleges and some of the lawyer’s law firms as part of preparation for her role.
Talking about her character in the movie, Richa said in an statement earlier,
“My character is that of a very driven and ethical lawyer. Hence, I wanted to see what drives people to take up litigation in the first place. That’s why law schools were a good idea and spending time with them was of great help. The research came in handy and has been crucial.”
The movie ‘Section 375’ deals with some real life incidents and goes on to tell how a critical section in law to protect women can also be misused as well.
