2019 is proving to be the sweetest year for Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan as their movie Simmba mopped up 26.50 crore nett on Tuesday which is one of the highest first Tuesday collections of all time, reports Box Office India. The movie is also a part of the coveted Rs 100 crore-club with a collection of over Rs 124 crore after a five-day run at the box-office.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh called the movie ‘unstoppable’ and told that the movie has already made its entry into 100 crore club on Tuesday only.
The movie raked in enough money to be crowned one of the best movies of 2019 at the beginning itself. In Simmba, Ranveer portrays a corrupt cop who has a change of heart after a women whom he treats as his younger sister is raped. Ranveer’s character then goes on to becomes a crusader of women’s safety. The film also stars Sara Ali Khan in lead role and Sonu Sood as an antagonist.
