Late actress Pratyusha Banerjee’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh seems to be in a pickle again. This time, he has been booked for allegedly cheating people with lakhs of money on the promise of a New Year party with singer Ankit Tiwari.
Rahul Raj organized an event, for which he took lakhs of money from people. Singer Ankit Tiwari was supposed to perform at the event but he backed out due to non-payment of charges on time. The singer even took Instagram telling his fans that he would not be able to do this particular event. His post reads, “NOT DOING THIS SHOW- It feels really sorry to announce that because of the NON-PAYMENT of our performance charges on time as promised by Mr. Rahul Raj, we are Not Performing on the New Years Eve this year. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
According to a report, Rahul Raj Singh was booked by Santacruz police after the crowd at the event ransacked the hotel when they came to know that Ankit Tiwari won’t be performing at the event and vandalized the hotel.
Talking to Mumbai Mirror, a police official said, “Everything was normal till 12.30 am. Then the crowd got violent. It was promised that a Bollywood singer would perform, but when no singer was seen, guests began vandalizing the property. A complaint was received and an FIR registered against Singh on charges of cheating.”
