The trailer of Shamitabh was released recently (btw, on a side note, what are your thoughts on the trailer?) and there’s one thing that instantly caught our eyes – Akshara Hassan’s hairstyle. Oh my! The asymmetrical short crop is where hardly any B-town ladies have ventured, let alone debuted in. Yes, there have been a whole lot of ladies that have sported the cropped look, the most recent one being Aishwarya Rai for a TV ad, but Akshara’s cut is truly unique.
What we especially love about this style is the edge it brings with itself. Look at Akshara in these photos, she’s not particularly wearing anything fancy or edgy and yet, the girl has a spunk element in her look.
While the haircut is pretty similar to the ‘pixie’ cut, the two aren’t the same. The pixie cut does have a slightly shorter side while Akshara sports longer hair on the side.
This hairstyle sadly isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and we get that. If you are more on the girly side, the pixie cut would be a better bet for you. Or if you have curly hair, you may have to straighten them every day to pull this off. However, the big plus point about this hairstyle is the fact that you can try it out for a few days and if you get over it a little while later, or feel that it isn’t suiting you, trim it down to a pixie cut. And that, of course, isn’t the only plus point of this style. It’s easy to maintain and not to forget, perfect for the summers that’ll soon be here within the blink of an eye.
