7 Hassle Free Ways to Feed Your Toddler

Feeding a toddler is a very difficult and challenging task. They create a mess around by squashing, throwing thing and explore the food by playing with it. Eating on time is an important part in their development, they enjoy a lot while playing with it. Let them explore the food by giving him/her small part of a bread or cookie. So that they will learn to eat food themselves. Sometime they don’t allow parents to feed them. Here are some basic tricks that will helpful for you while feeding them.

Mental preparation

Always calls your toddler ten minutes before meal time, so that they get mentally prepared. Toddlers are always busy in playing or exploring something and they will never pay attention to what you say. If you call them before the time they get mentally prepared.

Good habits

Set the rules by making them to wash hands before meal and do prayer before meal. It will surely help to turn his/her attitude whiling eating.

Introduction to food

Introduce the food before serving and tell name of each item, so that he/she gets used to it and they can demand next time if he/she likes.

Make colorful menu

kids in this stage are fussy and not ready to eat calmly. Make something special and use colorful vegetable so that they get attracted toward the dining table.

Teach to sit in one place

Try and teach your toddler to sit in one place while eating, he will definitely not to sit for long period but try at least for 10 minutes.

Praise your toddler

Praise your kid if he sits and eats properly by saying very nice!! Very good!! Teach your kid to say food is tasty, I loved it. This will definitely encourages them.

Serve food in small portion

Always serve food in small portion otherwise kids do mess around with food and they start playing with it.

Last but not least don’t force your toddler to complete the food until he is satisfied. These are few eating habits you can develop in your kid while he/she is growing up. Always start good eating habits at early age that will help to set healthy eating pattern once they grow up.
