Misty rain drops, chai, pakora and a long drive – what a perfect setting! But wait! Something is there playing a spoilsport in your plan. Yes, it’s your facial makeup which gets drenched every time when you get out of your home to feel all this. A sudden change in weather always affects the makeup unless n until it has been done so not to get melt. Rather than witnessing nice and nostalgic moments sometimes we are amidst embarrassing situations. With some easy DIY steps, you can save yourself the embarrassment.
A NICE PRIMER
Facial primers are good to start with. It helps the makeup last long and in place in extreme weather conditions. But just be sure it’s a light weight oil free formula. Ice cubes are natural primers for your skin. Rubbing ice cubes before applying makeup will make your makeup last longer.
STUFF YOUR HANDBAG WISELY
Rather than just stuffing anything, sort out your stuff wisely. Must keep a packet of blotting papers or wipes to absorb excess oil and sweat. If possible do pack small pocket fans readily available in the market. A nice cooling mist will also do the trick.
GO LIGHT ON FOUNDATION
Refrain from using too much foundation. Use powder foundation sparingly on nose and face to just grease off or instead use beauty benefit (BB) creams or complexion correct(CC) creams readily available in stores. These creams work more than the foundation does for your face.
NEVER GO WRONG ON EYE MAKEUP
The most problematic section is the eye makeup which gets drenched easily either in rain or sweat. Avoid heavy eye makeup instead go matte with your eyeshadows which will last longer and choose sheer and pastel shades for easy maintenance. Eyebrow pencil is a strict no-no. Go with eyebrow gel and a waterproof mascara.
SAY NO TO COMPROMISE ON PRODUCTS
Sometimes we tend to compromise with the products for some reasons. Don’t ever do it. Choose your products wisely. At the end of the day, these products will be the only support for your make up in any condition. Stick to oil free and silicon based formula products to keep your makeup last longer.
DON’T LET YOUR HAIR LOOSE
Every time you hair falling on your face will make you feel even hotter and sweaty. It will further add up to your fashion woes. Just go with braids and ponytails making a style statement.
USE A LIP STAIN
Weather may not be affecting your lip makeup directly, but don’t forget we tend to drink water more often this season, resulting in smudging off the lipstick. So, go with lip stains rather than lipstick which will last longer.
ULTRA SAVIOUR SUNSCREENS
Don’t forget to use sunscreens in any case coz ultimately you are going out in the sun, may not be that harsh, but still UV rays can be counterchecked through sunscreens only.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN
Ultimately, it’s your skin which you must take care of. Follow your skincare routine at any case. Nothing can compete with a naturally glowing skin. Harsh weather conditions can take a toll on your skin. So, take care or your diet, protect your skin from dust and pollution and do keep you skin clean.
