This pretty lady from the popular TV show ‘Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi’ is one of the most well known faces from the smalls screen industry today. Her character, Hrithika has received wide appreciation and love from around the country and her smile has captured a million hearts.
But behind Hrithika, is Smriti Khanna – a hardworking lovely woman who enjoys fashion and traveling as much as her work. We got a chance to catch up with her and get to know a little more about her beauty and fashion secrets.
1) What’s the secret behind you glowing skin?
Most of the times I am on the set so I try to have lot of water, I try to eat healthy, I carry fruits with me, at least one meal I would like to have salad or something. I try to eat as healthy as I can. I try to have a lot of juices and water n all. Also, we use a lot of makeup so I’d like to invest good quality makeup. Before sleeping, I remove makeup and I try to use moisturizer because I have a dry skin.
2)Tell us about your favorite makeup brands.
Mac, Forest Essential, Clinique are some my favorite brands. I always keep a check on expiry date because these products last for long, but you should not use them.
3) Tell us who is your celebrity crush?
For a very long time, it has been Ranbeer Kapoor has been my celebrity crush and of curse Hrithik Roshan.
4) You’re also a big fashionista. What’s your fashion inspiration?
I love traveling so whenever I am traveling I like to pick up fashion If I like something I’d like to do something similar. Whenever you travel you meet new people, so when you are exploring new places you see new things. I like to create my own look.
5) Tell us about your favorite apparel brands.
HNM has good stuff, Forever new, Zara. Top Shop. You can’t get away with street shopping when you are traveling to Thailand or another Asian country. I do shop from open markets too.
6) Do you have any summer fashion tips for the Indian woman?
I was a lot into neon. My cupboard was full of neon other than that crop tops are very in. This summer what I am gonna be using is long flowy skirts, palazzo with a crop top. I am blessed with good height so I don’t wear heels unless I am partying. But there are so many good options like a ballerina, flat footwear, and shoes.
7) You’re also very fit. Tell us about your fitness regime.
If I am getting free early then I go for a jog. I don’t go the gym, there is a form of exercise called functional training. It’s a different exercise. You don’t need any machine. This exercise is basically for core strengthening.
8) Coming to a more serious topic, you are playing a role of a pregnant woman whose love has been dined and then she finds her way? There are many women who go through such situation life, what would be your advice to them?
It’s a very strong decision living in the society where we are, today also the Indian mentality is the same. It’s a very big decision of being a single parent and only strong women can do that. Hats off to them. There is always a reason that they are a single mother and nobody would want to do it out of choice. I think we all should respect such women, it requires huge courage and guts.
9) And last, but not the least – There is an interesting turn in your character in the show right now. What do you think the audience is expecting from you?
The audience has been very kind to me since the time I am doing this show. They have liked my character. Now there are these twist and turns and honestly people don’t want me to turn negative. I always get mixed reviews so I am happy
