Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif have been best of friends and known to share a great bond with each other. They have indeed been thick as thieves. They did spend a lot of time hanging out with each other. However, after Alia started dating Ranbir Kapoor, who is Katrina’s ex-boyfriend, the reports were doing the rounds that the two have drifted apart.
Katrina Kaif was recently asked in Famously Filmfare show about her equation with Alia after she got into a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. The diva had a very mature answer to give to the question, proving she is a woman of substance.
Katrina said, “The fact that she was dating was not relevant to the equation that I shared with her. So why should that equation change?”
Earlier last year, Katrina said in an episode of Koffee with Karan,
“It isn’t tough for me to keep a good equation with Alia. Everyone needs to judge for themselves what’s best for them and how they want to handle their equations and their relationships. My equation with Alia is independent. My equation with Ranbir is independent and same with Deepika. I have individual relationships with all. We are not everyday phone conversation buddies, but I like who she [Alia] i.”
“There is a certain enjoyment of each other’s company and a certain comfort and fun element that we have when we are together and it was a decision that I made. I respect and I value that relationship and it shouldn’t change for anything,” Katrina added.
On the professional front, Katrina would be next seen in upcoming movie ‘Bharat’, alongside Salman Khan. While Alia’s Gully Boy released today.
