The most extravagant fashion event of the year, MET Gala took place on Monday and those comprising India’s Met Gala entourage were Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Isha Ambani and Natasha Poonawala. Let’s have a look at how well our Indian celebs nailed this year’s theme, which was ‘Camp: Notes On Fashion.’
Priyanka Chopra
The diva is a regular at the fundraiser cum Fashion event and this year marked her third time at the gala. Priyanka walked down the red carpet with her hubby Nick Jonas. She donned a flamboyant Dior gown and went for dramatic make-up. Her makeup also included ‘bindis’ as she wanted to add a touch of her Indian traditions to her look. Deepika Padukone
Deepika showed up in a pink Barbie-like gown designed with 408 embroidery pieces by Zac Posen. She complemented her look with a retro hairdo. Just like PC, Deepika has also been attending the gala for three years now. We feel Deepika played it safe with her look and didn’t go bold like Priyanka. However, she did look like a barbie! Isha Ambani
Next on our list is Isha Ambani, who was dressed in a Prabal Gurung ball gown, designed with “hand embroidered crystal and ostrich feather, sunburst pleating inserts.” She looked like a princess in the gown. Isha last attended the MET Gala back in 2017 in a Dior gown.
Natasha Poonawala
Last but not the least- businesswoman and socialite Natasha Poonawala was also in attendance at the MET gala. She walked the red carpet in a custom designed Dundas dress with a pleated train. Like Priyanka, Natasha also chose to add an element of Indian culture in her look. She opted for a ‘maang teeka’ which perfectly blended with her outfit and her overall look and deserves quite some appreciation.
