Gully Boy, featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles, would be hitting the screens on February 14, 2019. The poster of the movie came out yesterday and we can’t keep calm. The movie has been directed by Zoya Akhtar and it traces the story of a young Mumbai street rapper, inspired by the life of Divine (Vivian Fernandes) and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy, popular for the song ‘Mere Gully Mein.’ Ranveer will be seen portraying the underground rapper who beats all the odds to become a famous rapper.
In the poster shared by Ranveer on Instagram, Ranveer’s character is shown with his back to the camera, staring into the distance at a building. He does seem to be wearing the same Hoodie from the first look images released back in February 2018. There are notes accompanying the poster, which say, “Apna Time Aayega” (Our time would come).

Earlier in 2018, the videos of Ranveer rapping along with Divine went viral. In an interview to Hindustan Times, Divine said, “He’s the best man to do the movie and he’s killed it.”
The movie is also going to be a part of 69th International Berlin International Film Festival, which will be held between February 7 and February 17.
The posters sure look promising and we look forward to the release of the movie on February, 14!
