Andaz Apna Apna, featuring Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, didn’t create much of a buzz when it was released back in 1994. But over the years, the movie became a cult comedy. This year marks the silver jubilee of the movie as it enters its 25th year.
As per the grapevine, the producers of the movie Priti Sinha and Vinay Sinha are planning to make a remake of the classic cult movie, “with a different plot and background”. Rumours has it that Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh have been approached to step into the shoes of Aamir and Salman for the remake.
When Aamir totally thinks that the two actors would fit the bill. He said,
“I don’t know if it’s true but if you ask me, they should definitely do it,”
Aamir further said,
“I don’t know if it’s [the news about Ranveer and Varun being a part of it] true but if you ask me, they should definitely do it (smiles),” says the superstar, adding: “Andaz Apna Apna is a film that people have loved immensely [in the past], so I am sure they would love to see it. I don’t know what exactly is being planned — a remake, part two or an offshoot. But whatever it is, I’d personally like to see a fresh take [on it]. As an audience, I would love to see what Ranveer, Varun or any of the young actors would do with the characters.”
Andaz Apna Apna also starred Karishma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon. The story revolves around the characters of Salman and Aamir, who were daydreamers and wanted to get rich. Their story took an interesting turn when they met two girls played by Karishma and Raveena.
