1. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw Becomes the First Indian Women to Join the Board of Trustees of MSK
The executive chairperson of Biocon Ltd; Kiran Mazumdar Shaw has been appointed to the board of trustees of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. With this, she becomes the first Indian women to join the board of trustees of MSK. She will join the 51 members team on the board and will start her tenure from April 2021 for the next three years. Memorial Sloan Kettering is among the top two cancer care hospitals in the US working as a world leader in the department of cancer care and research.
2. A Cookbook by Drew Barrymore to Be Released This Year
Actress Drew Barrymore is set to become an author with her first book “Rebel Homemaker: Food, Family, Life” which will be released this year. She along with her friend and chef Pilar Valdes has revealed the cover of her cookbook on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’. The expected release of this book is in November 2021.
3. Julia Donaldson Is All Set to Release a New Picture Book in 2022
Julia Donaldson has come up with a new picture book for children under the title ‘The Christmas Pine’. This book is centred in and around Christmas and it will be illustrated by Norwegian artist Victoria Sandoy. It will be published by Alison Green Books, an imprint of Scholastic, in 2021.
