Reliance Retail Limited announced the acquisition of the brand Pahadi Local along with its business operations from Pahadi Goodness Private Limited, strengthening its presence in India’s beauty and wellness segment.

A Brand Inspired by Himalayan Wellness Traditions

Pahadi Local, a nature-led beauty and personal care brand inspired by Himalayan ingredients and traditional wellness practices, has gained recognition for its clean formulations, sustainable sourcing and focus on indigenous ingredients. Founded with the aim of bringing the purity and efficacy of Himalayan botanicals into everyday personal care, the brand has built a strong consumer base among those seeking natural and environmentally conscious skincare solutions, according to the official release dated March 9, 2026.

Commenting on the acquisition, Isha Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, said the company remains focused on nurturing authentic Indian brands that combine tradition with innovation. “Pahadi Local’s roots in Himalayan wellness traditions and its commitment to responsible sourcing, make it a compelling addition to our beauty ecosystem. The Popularity of Gutti Ka Tel

The brand’s product portfolio is centred on traditional Himalayan wellness knowledge supported by modern formulation science. Its hero ingredient, Gutti Ka Tel (apricot kernel oil), has gained popularity among consumers and industry recognition for its natural skincare benefits.

Supporting Local Communities

Pahadi Local also works closely with women-led self-help groups across Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, supporting local livelihoods while contributing to initiatives in healthcare, education and environmental conservation. The brand has previously received recognition from Narendra Modi for promoting indigenous sourcing and local enterprise.
