Actor Shahid Kapoor surprised his fans in 2015 when he announced his wedding with delhi girl Mira Rajput. The two soon tied the know when Shahid was 35 and Mira was just 21.
In a recent chat with her fans on Instagram, Mira revealed when she met her husband Shahid for the very first time. Yes, it wasn’t in 2015. She met him 5 yeras before their wedding. A fan went on to ask Mira how was it like meeting Shahid, as he was a star, to which Mira replied,
“Just like meeting anyone for the first time. Interesting. It was actually when I was 16 and we were at a common family friends house for a concert by a sufi singer. Both our dad’s love that kind of music.”
Shahid and Mira welcomed their first child Misha in 2016 and second child Zain last year. In an interview with Filmfare, Shahid was asked how Mira took up the mantle of motherhood at such a young age. The actor replied,
“My understanding of her is that she is very mature, deep down. Otherwise she would not have been able to deal with all that has happened with her life. I mean she was just turning 21 when we got married.”
The interviewer jokingly called Shahid a ‘cradle snatcher’ and the actor did agreed. He said,
“Absolutely! You know, I am. I can’t runaway from it. So it is what it is.”
On professional front, Shahid’s last movie Batti Gul Meyer Chaali failed at the box office and he would be next seen in Kabir Singh alongside Kiara Advani. The movie is a remake of Telugu movie, Arjun Reddy.
