The Indian Army has launched a recruitment drive for Agniveer General Duty (Women Military Police) posts across 11 Recruiting Zones nationwide, as part of the Agneepath Scheme for 2024-25 initiated by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

Examination Details

Under the Zonal Recruiting Office, Pune, a written examination is scheduled for the recruitment of ‘Agniveer General Duty Woman Military Police’ from unmarried women domiciled in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The examination is set to be held from 22nd April 2024.

Salary and Allowances

Agniveer is a newly introduced rank in the Indian Army, where candidates will be commissioned for a period of 4 years only. After the completion of the 4-year tenure, 25 percent of Agniveers from each batch will have the opportunity to join the Army’s regular cadre based on their performance.

Candidates selected in the regular cadre can continue serving the Army for up to 15 years. The salary and allowances for Agniveer recruits range from Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 per month, with 30 percent deductions towards the service fund package.

Additionally, risk and hardship allowance, dress, and travel allowance will be provided. However, Agniveer recruits will not be eligible for provident fund, gratuity, or pension.

Qualification

Candidates must have passed 10th class with minimum 45 percent marks on average and minimum 33 percent marks in each subject to be eligible for the recruitment. Preference will be given to candidates with a light vehicle (LMV) driving license for the driver’s position.

Widowed, divorced, and lawfully separated women with no children are also eligible to apply.

Physical Requirements

Height: Minimum 162 cm. (4 cm height discount for tribal women in recognized tribal areas)
Weight: Assessed according to height and age ratio.
Chest: Must meet Army Medical Standards, with a minimum measurement of 5 cm.
Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure

The selection process comprises two phases, including an online common entrance examination followed by recruitment rallies conducted by the Army Recruitment Office (ARO).

Online Examination: The online examination is scheduled for 22nd April 2024 and will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Candidates are required to download their admit cards from the Join Indian Army website and choose their preferred examination centers.

Results: Results will be published on the website, and candidates must approach the Army Recruitment Office for document verification. Interested candidates can apply online through the Join Indian Army website by 22nd March 2024, with an examination fee of Rs 250.
