In a television interview meant to discuss the #metoo movement, Rani Mukherji’s comments raised eyebrows, so much so that she was mercilessly trolled on social media. But now, it is Kangana Ranaut, who can come out in support of Rani.
In an interview with DNA, the Manikarnika actress shared her views on #metoo movement and happened to mention how badly Rani was trolled.
Kangana said, “Like recently, Rani Mukerji was attacked because of her views on a show. It’s sad to see that a woman was being bullied and trolled for the cause of women’s empowerment. Maybe Rani was not able to articulate herself, but if you see the way she leads her life, she is the epitome of women’s empowerment. Anyone who knows her wouldn’t find her weak or timid. There are people who talk a lot, but they don’t necessarily live up to it. She’s definitely one of those people who live up to it. So, that is scary about this whole thing.”
On the professional front, Kangana would be next seen in Manikarnika, a movie based on the life of the fierce queen- Laxmi Bai. The movie is slated to release on January 25.
