Volkswagen opened its first all-female city store in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on September 6, 2022. The manufacturer would put its focus on empowering female employees to take on greater leadership roles and establish new standards for the customer experience in collaboration with Ramani Cars Pvt. Ltd.
According to a senior corporate executive, the store’s initiative is to support diversity and inclusivity within the organization as well as women’s talent in the automotive profession.
The business went on to say that because the country’s female consumer base is expanding quickly, the brand wants to create an “exclusive and confident environment” specifically for its female clients.
VW also believes that by doing this, more female professionals would join and advance in India’s auto retail industry. For this new program, the business has partnered with Ramani Cars Pvt. Ltd. with the goal of concentrating on preparing female employees for leadership roles.
“At Volkswagen, we strongly believe in the development of our ‘People’ and who other than women are the driving force of our business. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, stated, “It is our endeavour to champion women’s potential in the automotive workforce and encourage diversity, equity, and inclusivity across the organization through this initiative of an All Women City Store in Coimbatore.
