Thankfully, A Star Kid Acknowledges Nepotism, And That Too On Koffee With Karan

Ananya Pandey is the new star kid in the block to debut in Bollywood. She is making her debut with Karan Johar’s “Student Of The Year 2”.

When the episode started, Karan, on a comical note, introduced Ananya as a product of nepotism. He said,

“We have two wonderful girls, one a product of nepotism. Yes, I said it before you did it. Ananya Pandey- The daughter of Chunky and Bhavna Pandey.”

On the show, Karan Johar started a conversation with Ananya telling her that there might be a certain section that may ask why she is on the show. Ananya was quick to respond saying,

“I agree with that section of the people because I haven’t done anything. I don’t deserve to be here.”

Karan looked surprised with the comment and wait till you see the look on his face-

Karan went on to ask her if she believes whether or not she should have gotten the break?

Ananya humbly acknowledged the privilege and said,

“I don’t. There are a lot of people out there who are more talented and more hardworking than I am.”

She went on to say it for real, that it is because of her dad that she got her first break. She said,

“And I am just lucky that my dad was an actor and that I am able to do what I want to do. I am lucky and grateful that I am able to be here.”

This surely proves that Ananya Pandey who knows a thing or two about being humble and acknowledging the privilege that she got, instead of forcefully justifying nepotism.
