It’s weekend time and the best way to enjoy weekend is by having yummy & crispy Onion Pakora’s. This popular snack goes well with evening tea or you can enjoy it as starter just before dinner. Here is a simple recipe to make perfect Onion Pakora for your weekend!
Ingredients
- 1 cup onion slices (vertical)
- 2 Green chili slices (vertical)
- 1 inch Ginger slices (vertical)
- Curry leaves fine chopped
- 2 tbsp Coriander fine chopped
- Salt to taste
- Cashew nuts chopped into 2 pieces and fried
- 1 cup besan
- Rice flour 2 tbsp
- Jeera ½ tbsp
- Sugar ½ tbsp
- Lemon juice 2 tbsp
- Baking powder pinch
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- Oil to fry
Method
Combine all the ingredients; add 2 tbsp hot oil, do not add water at a time just sprinkle the water to make dough. Keep the oil in medium flame and deep fry pakoda’s till it turns golden brown and crispy.
Serve hot with tomato sauce or dates chutney.
Cooking time – 25 mints
Tips – Do not add turmeric, add lukewarm water only, let the oil preheat for 7 minutes then only deep the pakora’s. Fry it on a medium flame only.
