The much-anticipated Apple event is finally Live, and the world can’t wait to see what it has in store for them. The biggest Apple event of the year was streamed live on 7th September 2022. Apple’s ‘Far Out’ event marked the official unveiling of its 2022 iPhone lineup.
At the event, Tim Cook unveiled its new iPhone 14 line, which includes the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Pro models use the most recent A16 Bionic chipset, while the first two use the A15 Bionic chipset from last year. The four new iPhones will all come pre-installed with iOS 16. Additionally, the company unveiled its Apple Watch Series 8 and the tough Apple Watch Ultra for athletes. Also released was the new Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Generation.
1. Apple iPhone 14 series
a. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 plus
The newest iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are available in five colours: cherry red, midnight, starlight, blue, and purple. The gadgets are equipped with a 6-core CPU, an A15 Bionic chip with two high-performance cores, four efficiency cores, and a neural engine. It has a brand-new 12MP main camera with a bigger sensor, 1.9micron pixels, an F1.5 aperture, and OIS. Apple offers eSIM and satellite connectivity on iPhone 14 series as it is more secure and enables customers to keep several eSIMs (for US models right now)
b. iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max
The front of the iPhone 14 Pro model has been updated with a smaller pill-shaped notch. Apple iPhone 14 Pro features a “Dynamic Island” that changes size in response to usage and notifications. Additionally, it shows background connectivity like calls, music, and other things. It conceals the crucial information that can be obtained by touching on it and is constantly live and active. Behind the display is where the proximity sensor is located. Notifications appear in a colourful, fluid animation that emerges from the notch. Animation is used to reveal the notifications. Super Retina XDR LPTO technology is used in the phone’s display. The most recent chipset has a six-core CPU with two high-performance cores that consume up to 20% less power. It includes a 12MP telephoto camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP quad-pixel sensor. The screen size of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro is 6.1 inches, while the Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen with a maximum brightness of 1600 nits.
Preorder and Prices
The Apple iPhone 14 will go on sale on September 16, with preorders beginning on September 9. While the iPhone 14 Plus will go on sale on October 7. Priced at USD 799 (In India- Rs 79,900) for the iPhone 14, and USD 899 for the iPhone 14 Plus (about Rs 89,900). The starting price for the Apple iPhone 14 Pro is $999 (In India- Rs 1,29,900); pre-orders commence on September 9 and sales start on September 16. Contrarily, the 14 Pro Max is priced at $1,999 (In India- Rs-1,39,900) ; pre-orders start on September 9 and sales start on September 16.
2. Apple Watch Series 8
One sensor is on the back of the new smartwatch series, while another is located beneath the display. Women can monitor their menstrual cycles thanks to it. The device’s encryption protects the cycle data, which can only be accessed with a passcode or biometric ID. The entire data stream is encrypted. Enhanced battery life and array detection are included too.
3. Apple Watch Ultra
A unique casing is included with the Apple Watch Ultra. The 49mm case of the smartwatch features a large display, a dedicated action button, and two speakers. The watch has a battery life of 36 hours. It will be available starting on September 23 for Rs 89,900; pre-booking has started from 7 September 2022.
4. Apple Watch SE
The reasonably priced wristwatch has a screen that is 30% bigger than the Watch 8 and includes Watch OS9 in addition to all of the standard Apple Watch functions. Its starting price is Rs 29,900.
5. AirPods Pro 2
Powerful AirPods Pro2 with H2 are available. On a single charge, it offers six hours of listening time. Users can listen for up to 30 hours with the charging case. The updated wireless earbuds have a redesigned driver that provides greater clarity and definition across all frequencies. The new H2 software offers a more immersive experience with crystal-clear audio. In India, the cost of the second-generation Airpods Pro is Rs 26,900. It will be available starting on September 23; pre-booking will start on 9 September 2022.
