Here’s the news for fashion lovers! The Lakme Fashion Week of 2013 has just concluded. Fresh fashion trends come this week for you to try. Designers have with their creations on their muses, putting the ramp on flame. Here we bring you 5 of the latest trends that are being worn on the ramp by celebrities.

Vikram Phadnis’s Gold collection

Vikram Phadnis displays his new collection of gowns, jackets, short dresses and pants, all in gold. Karisma Kapoor walks the ramp as his showstopper. She is seen in one of his latest creations, a gold shimmering gown. It was floor length gown with solid gold portions in it. She wore full sleeves with the top half in golden lace.

Pria Kataria Puri’s Fast and Curious collection

Pria Katari Puri, much of a known name among celebrity designers, came up with her fresh new collection, Fast and Curious, in which she displays curiously colourful and comfy cotton clothes. The dresses have loud block prints and contemporary symbols like arrows. Mahi Gill, the Pan Singh Tomar actress, walked the ramp in a white sequined dress with white and gold metal beads. The mini dress also had lace work at the edges. This dress with a plunging neckline is perfect for parties and clubs.

Ritu Kumar’s The Thunder Mountain and Curling Vine collection

Ritu Kumar’s collection comes as a perfect combination of weaves, colours, crafts and styles. The materials used are Bhutanese Tangkhas, kanni weaves, prayer flags, woven silks, handspun khadi and leather. The dresses are kurtas, kaftan, leggings, long-sleeved cat dresses and dresses. Actress Nargis Fakhri was dressed in a floor-length anarkali with a gold and green border hemline. With a stunning neck piece and a mang tika she looked extraordinary.

Shehla Khan’s Tale of the Unexpected collection

Shehla got her inspiration from fairy tales and her collection highlights royal elegance with a perfect dose of ultra-feminine grace. The dresses are based on white lace. Some of them have pretty frills on the hemline. One displayed shows a hot short skirt under a floor-length net-dress. According to her showstopper Jacqueline Fernandez, the dresses are quite feminine and ‘contemporary for all ages.’

Sabyasanchi Mukherjee’s Absolute Royal collection

The curtain were brought to the Lakme Fahion Week with Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s Absolute Royal collection that celebrated Indian royalty with exquisitely designed lehengas, squilted skirts, saris, kurtas, kurta churidars, sherwanis, waistcoats and jackets. This time no shopper was chosen.
