If there is one thing you shouldn’t miss while doing makeup, it has got to be contouring. Contouring enhances your facial structure and makes it brighter.
However, most of the people skip contouring because it seems such a daunting task. The plethora of contouring tutorials available on the internet only makes things harder.
Here is a simple tutorial to master the subtle art of contouring-
First Comes The Moisturiser (Not concealer and definitely not the foundation)
Apply a light moisturizer before the makeup. It not just protects your skin but also makes blending the makeup easy.
Don’t Miss Out On The Concealer
You need to apply concealer to the places where you spot dark circles, blemishes or even acne.
The Foundation Comes Third
As you must have heard, find a foundation that matches your skin tone. Apply the foundation that matches your skin tone and don’t forget to blend it.
Now Comes Your Highlighter
The first thing you need to do for contouring is highlighting your T-zone. Apply the highlighter on the center of your head, in between your eyebrows and take it down all the way down to your nose on your Cupid’s bow and at the center of your chin. In case you are applying a powder highlighter, you need to use a fan brush. Else if it is a liquid one, a blender can be used.
Time For Your Contouring Powder
Now you need to use a contouring powder and with the fan brush, swipe a line of contour powder directly on the bottom edge of the cheekbone. It has to happen in such a way that your brush should be straddling your cheekbone as you apply it.
If you are opting for a more chiseled look, especially for photos, apply the concealer across the temples, in towards the cheeks, and down the jawline.
