Everybody celebrated Diwali this year with full zeal and enthusiasm with their loved ones despite the pandemic. Diwali is known for its spirit of togetherness and celebration. It is commonly called the festival of lights and hence necessitates glistening ethnic attire, and who better to demonstrate their stylish choices than all of Bollywood’s stunning ladies?

Our favourite celebs dressed up in some really magnificent, wonderful, and gorgeous outfits for Diwali 2021. From Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s Diwali Party to Kapoor’s family gathering, celebs this year enjoyed Diwali in beautiful outfits. Instagram was ablaze with gorgeous costumes worn by Bollywood stars, from Deepika Padukone’s pink chanderi silk suit to Malaika Arora’s hot pink saree.

1. Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt looked lovely in a purple Sabyasachi lehenga as she headed out with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor for Lakshmi Pooja festivities leaving the fans swooning over the adorable couple. The lehenga was printed all over with polka dots and featured golden Patti stitching on the border. She accessorized with a pair of lovely dangling jhumkas, a matching dupatta, and a little bindi. The blouse has a plunging neckline, which we think adds a chic twist to this classic look! Alia took on Instagram to post a classic Diwali picture with candles and fairy lights.

2. Deepika Padukone

When it comes to ethnic fashion, we cannot miss our favourite Queen of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone. She is known for her amazing fashion choices and elegance while carrying them. While most celebrities wear brightly coloured costumes for Diwali, Deepika Padukone opted for a delicate pink chanderi silk suit set from the celebrity brand Torani. The floor-grazing anarkali kurta in grape pink chanderi silk has a round neckline, transparent sleeves, and a flowing design. Deepika’s Diwali appearance was heightened by the delicate floral embroidery in white, which imparted a subtle beauty to the ensemble. The Bollywood diva wore the kurta with a pair of matching slacks and an organza silk dupatta with scalloped borders and flower-patterned embroidery all over. Deepika wore the odhani around her torso and draped it over one shoulder. The actress accessorized her traditional ensemble with flowery statement earrings and kept her makeup simple. This is definitely one of our favourite celeb Diwali looks this year.

3. Katrina Kaif

The rumoured couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal were seen attending the Diwali bash. Katrina Kaif took to social media to wish her followers a happy Diwali and uploaded a photo from the festivities with her mother and sister Isabelle Kaif. Katrina’s ensembles never fail to wow us, and this time was no exception. She wore a modest saree with a sequin border and a matching sequin sleeveless top! She looked lovely in a peachy pink saree with a stunning silver blouse that complimented her skin tone well! She wore her hair down with elegant earrings and added a bindi to complete her traditional outfit.

4. Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Never failing to celebrate Diwali with an extra oomph, our desi girl Priyanka Chopra Jonas celebrated with friends and family. She wore a stunning ivory lehenga by designer Arpita Mehta and looked stunning. The flowing skirt had a stunning flower design all over it, while the top had silver mirror work all over it. PeeCee completed her outfit with an ornate necklace that complemented her attire nicely. Priyanka Chopra wished her followers on Instagram with her beautiful Diwali outfit and wishes. For her Diwali puja outfit, Priyanka wore a yellow saree and uploaded images of herself and her husband Nick Jonas throughout the ceremonies. She went for a natural appearance with minimum makeup.

5. Jahnvi Kapoor

We love Jahnvi Kapoor’s fashion choices and she did not disappoint this time as well. Janhvi Kapoor looks amazing in sarees. Janhvi wore a Manish Malhotra light green saree with mirror work around the border. Her traditional ensemble had a certain grace about it that we adored. The smokey eyes with glossed lip makeup added to the grace of the whole look. Janhvi wore the beautiful dress with mirror work to a Diwali ceremony with her father, Boney Kapoor, and sister, Khushi Kapoor.

6. The Kapoor Sisters: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karishma Kapoor

The sister duo has been ruling Bollywood and fans’ hearts with their acting and fashion choices for decades. They are the most looked forward to celebrities at any festival for their attire choices. For Diwali, Kareena Kapoor posted a sweet photo with Saif Ali Khan and his boys Taimur and Jeh. Kareena wore a traditional gown in Fuschia pink with golden embroidery. Kareena wore her hair in a beautiful tight ponytail and complimented her outfits with dangling earrings.

Karisma Kapoor spent Diwali at the Pataudi Palace with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, and judging by the photos they shared on Instagram, they had a terrific time. This Diwali, Karisma Kapoor chose to keep things simple and lovely. She looked stunning in a sage green salwar suit with little jewellery and makeup. Her dazzling, evergreen smile was unquestionably the show-stopper.

7. Malaika Arora

Malaika raised the temperatures this Diwali by opting for this hot pink look. Malaika Arora made heads turn as she was seen with her beau Arjun Kapoor at a Diwali celebration. In a bright pink saree with a backless yellow top, she looked stunning. Her hair was pulled back into an intricate bun with pink flowers. Malaika completed her ensemble with a glittering choker necklace, simple bindi, and pink bangles.

8. Jacqueline Fernandez

With her magnificent red sari from the luxury handloom brand Ekaya, Jacqueline brought the classic Bollywood glamour and glamour to us this Diwali. The open-back full sleeves solid red colour blouse added to the elegance of the look. Her hair was pulled back into a sleek bun, and her makeup was flawless. Her Instagram photo received a lot of positive feedback, and it’s easy to understand why!

10. Aditi Rao Hydari

The actor, whose ethnic fashion game has always been a sight to behold, outdid herself once more. Aditi was the muse for the fashion designer house Gaurang this time, and she was dressed in a traditional outfit from their collection. Aditi is dressed traditionally in a crimson and green Kanjivaram silk saree. She wore it with a contrasting green long-sleeved blouse with gold Resham threads that were elaborately handmade. Aditi completed her ensemble with Kishan Das Jewellery’s classic statement earrings, neckpiece, ring, and septum ring. Aditi wore her long tresses open with a centre split, with the help of makeup artist Charlotte Wang. She completed the look by wearing a little red bindi and keeping her makeup simple.
