Shopaholic? Don’t go overboard!

Exhibitions, sales and discounts are buzzwords in any lady’s life! Whether we need to shop or no is a different matter, but we end up spending a lot during this most-looked-forward-to shopping time. Also, we usually end up buying things we absolutely don’t need! Here are a few tips so that you don’t end up spending all your salary!

Always check advertisement in newspapers

Exhibitions are good, especially if you are looking for gifting ideas, throwing housewarming party or if you are doing your house. Always read up about the exhibition in the newspaper so that you know what is it all about, is there any entry fee and which brands are going to be a part of this exhibition. So that you know what exactly you are looking at and you don’t end up spending just for the heck of it.

Make a check list

Make a list of those items that you need. You can spend hours at a particular exhibition so that you know what is trending in the market, but when it comes to buying, stick to what you need. While at an exhibition, you may succumb to ‘impulse shopping’, hence always make a list of what you want.

Carry enough cash

It’s better to stick to a budget. It’s advisable to pay by cash, rather than swiping your credit or debit card, just to be on safe side.

Don’t get carried away

You may be tempted to buy everything that you can afford to buy, but don’t get confused. Be firm and buy limited things, so that you don’t end up stuffing your almira and emptying your wallet.

Time yourself

Make sure you don’t up spending entire day at an exhibition. Remember, shopping is just a part of life, not your life!

Gain Knowledge

Exhibitions & sales are also a platform to know about various brands, their competitors, new things trending in the market. Also, you can compare various brands and know which brand suits your pocket.
