6 Valentine’s Day Date Looks

With V-Day around the corner, a lot of ladies might find themselves in a “what to wear” fix. We’re bringing you 6 looks that’ll make it a whole lot easier for you to decide.

Look 1: Sheer Sexy
Sexy. Yes. That’s how a lot of women, no dount, would want to dress up on the special day. And the current hot favourite of the season that speaks sexy is sheer panel. If you can, try taking it up a notch with say, for example, an unusual fabric, like the one in our pick below – Velvet.

Keep things simple because let the sheer speak for itself. And don’t opt for boring ol’ pumps. The sexy dress deserves a little something more in the shoe department.

Keep the hair sleep, either tied or left loose. Opt for drama on either the eyes, or the lips when it comes to make up.Classic LBD look

Look 2: Easy Breezy Maxi

Anyone who loves to wear long dresses knows how difficult it can get, given the fact that they aren’t always so easy to pick out for just about any occasion. Either they are too casual, or too formal.

So our suggestion is, pick out a relatively simple maxi, but pair it up with some interesting accessories. Props if you add in a pop of colour like we did, with the look below.

Wear the hair open or tied, but make sure to keep them relaxed. Keep the make-up laid back too!Easy Breezy Maxi

Look 3: Classic LBD look
Ah! The ever green LBD. It can never really go wrong, can it? However, when wearing it for Valentine’s Day, try adding interesting accessories. Don’t opt for regular black heels, but perhaps a different style or different colour. Pair it up with a classy clutch to complete the ring.

Opt for strong make up, because the look demands one. Red lips and kohl eyes. Also, try a middle parting with the hair instead of the common side one.Sheer and Sexy

Look 4: Laid Back Happy

So sexy isn’t your zone, or you just want to be in a more relaxed state, go for a bright, colourful and flowy dress. Pair it up with a fun bag, either of a contrasting colour or a printed one like we have in our look below. Keep the heels subtle to balance the look and finish it off with a cute pair of dangle earrings.

Keep the eyes light and wear a light/coral lipstick or gloss. For the hair, go for a top knot bun to complete the look.Laid Back Happy

Look 5 – Oh so edgy!
Usually, shorts would be a no-no on a date night, but if you are heading to a lounge, instead of a fine dine restaurant for the night, these shorts are quite a perfect fit. Pair them up with a bright top instead of opting for a regular black or white top. Put on, one, or a few bracelets and complete the look with ankle boots.

Opt for a light gloss and dark kohl on the eyes. Either leave the hair loose and messy, or go with a top bun.Oh so edgy!

Look 6 –Giving Pants A Thought
So pants aren’t really something that will come to many people’s minds when it comes to a Valentine’s Day date, but with a little smartness, a really chic look can be pulled off. First things first, opt for an interesting pair of pants and a plain top rather than the other way round. Keep the shoes edgy and add on a statement necklace or other such bold piece of jewellery.

If black is a major part of your look, like it is for ours, then opt for kohl heavy eyes and go easy on the lips. You can wear your hair up or down, but just ensure they aren’t too sleek.Giving Pants A Thought
