Chennai-based nutraceutical company ProNutramax has unveiled two new brands—Pro Nutra Kidz, a nutraceutical range for children, and ANI – Authentic Natural Indian, a line of traditional masalas and instant mixes—at a launch event held at Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels.
According to the official announcement made by the brand last Saturday, March 7, 2026, the event was attended by several distinguished guests, including J. Radhakrishnan, Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited; actor Chinni Jayanth; IRS officer Pawan Kumar; retired Wing Commander Ramesh Pulapaka, CEO of ABCL; social activist and journalist Apsara Reddy; Srimathy Kesan, founder and CEO of Space Kidz India; Viswanathan Natarajan, Vice Chairman of Gojan Educational Institutions; and ILA Prabhu, General Manager at ITC Hotels.
Speaking at the launch, Latha Dubay, Founder and CEO of ProNutramax, said the initiative aims to address the challenges faced by modern families in balancing proper nutrition for children while preserving the authentic flavours of traditional home cooking. She said the company’s vision is to combine science-backed nutrition with time-tested culinary traditions to support healthier lifestyles.
Pro Nutra Kidz targets children’s nutrition and immunity
The Pro Nutra Kidz range has been developed to support children’s growth, immunity and overall development. Available in flavours such as vanilla and chocolate, the product is fortified with essential vitamins and minerals and allows parents to control the level of added sugar, offering a more transparent alternative to many commercially available health drinks.
The company also plans to expand its nutraceutical portfolio with products specifically designed for women and senior citizens to address their nutritional requirements at different stages of life.
ANI brand focuses on traditional masalas and instant mixes
The ANI brand, meanwhile, focuses on preserving traditional flavours through a range of masalas and instant mixes. Its product line includes staples such as rasam, sambar, puliyotharai and rava idli mixes, along with idli podi known for its rich texture and authentic taste. The company said key ingredients are sourced from single authentic suppliers to maintain consistency, while aluminium foil packaging is used to enhance shelf life, preserve freshness and aroma.
Company plans expansion across Tamil Nadu markets
According to K Raman, Director of ProNutramax, the company has put in place a strategic marketing plan to ensure strong retail visibility and distribution across urban and semi-urban markets. He added that the company is also inviting distributors across Tamil Nadu as it expands its market presence.
“We identified a widening gap where families were often forced to choose between convenience and wholesome quality. Our goal is to bridge that gap by making premium nutrition and authentic traditional flavours easily accessible — without compromise,” he said.
Going forward, ANI plans to expand its portfolio with traditional favourites, including Instant Payasam, Millet Dosa, and Special Maddur Vada, bringing more heritage recipes to modern kitchens.
