In my life there are not one but three women who inspire me – My Three Elder Sisters. They are independent, hard working and successful in their respective careers and also have happy families. My eldest sister is a doctor and currently working in the social sector. Whereas my second sister is in judicial services and the youngest sister is a journalist.

They have shown keen interest in working or the society and their efforts have been recognized by our Indian government organizations in form of awards and honorary titles. I feel so proud talking about my sisters. I have always learnt a lot from them – compassion, believe and dedicated hard work. In my crucial times, they have always motivated and encouraged me – and learning from their life stories, I have reached where I am today

The most inspiring woman in my life has been my grandmother, who raised me. She was a stereotypical housewife and loved me unconditionally. She taught me the way of selfless living as she dedicated her life to service the underprivileged and dispossessed. She always laid emphasis on the importance of value system in life. As a kid, she always insisted me on helping others in my capacity without expecting anything in return. As a doctor, I practice her teachings in my everyday life as I provide free dental care to the underprivileged. Today my grandmother is no more part of this living world but she continues to live with me in my thoughts and action. She is my ‘Guiding Light’!
