Did you know that waffles have been around in the US for hundred years? Typically knowns as America’s breakfast staple waffles came to India not so long ago. The word waffle known as the print is easy to prepare and taste good if you add honey on top of it. American used an electric waffle iron to prepare glazed square shaped biscuits but recently there have tonnes handy additions to make waffles at home. We came across Tupperware’s Silicone Waffle Maker on Amazon and here is our review!
How to make waffles
Ingredients
175gm all purpose flour
3 eggs separate whites and yolks
250ml milk
1 tsp baking powder
75gm sugar
90 gm melted butter
1 pinch salt
Procedure
In a large bowl mix together egg yolks, maida, butter, sugar, salt and baking powder. Mix well with the electric beater. Take another bowl and beat egg white until they are stiff. Mix half egg white into the large bowl fold the mixture. Now add remaining white and fold again gently.
Pour mixture everywhere in the silicon mould.
Bake in the preheated oven at 180’C for 20 minutes now unmold the waffles onto the waffles rack and bake again for 10 minutes or until they become golden brown.
Serve hot waffles with chocolate sauce or vanilla ice-cream.
You can also use this silicone mould to create ice-cubes, ice-cream or frozen food in great shapes.
