6 Tips for Strong and Healthy Nails

Having a routine for your nails is as essential as having a skincare routine

Having a routine for your nails is as essential as having a skincare routine. Just simply applying a nail-paint isn’t the only form of nail-care you should be adapting to. While many people wouldn’t want to spend a lot on nail care, you can still inculcate a few habits to make your nails look healthier, shinier, and stronger than ever! Thinking what to do?  Watch out for these 6 tips.

  1. Cleanliness Is Important

Keep your hands clean and the skin around your nails even cleaner. Healthier nails do not only mean going for timely manicures and pedicures. Exfoliate your skin and nails every week to remove any build-in dirt and dead skin.

  1. Clean Your Tools

After every use make sure that you clean your metal nail-care tools with soap and water to avoid infections. It is just as important as cleaning your makeup brushes.

  1. Keep the Length That Suits You

We often go with a longer length as it makes our nails look beautiful but sometimes our nails aren’t healthy enough to keep up with the length. If your nails break easily then it’s time to trim it short. Never prioritize the health of your nails over the length.

  1. Vitamins

Taking sources vitamins can improve the quality of your nails and make your nails stronger. Including Vitamin E supplements can show positive results if you have weak, dry, or rough nails. You can also opt for nail serums or removers rich in Vitamin E to help you with your nail-care regime.

  1. Moisturize Regularly

Moisturize your nails and hands before going to bed just like you do with your face. Keeping your nails hydrated is equally important as with your face. Use any serum rich in nutrients like Vitamin E or moisturizer suiting best to your nail and skin type.

  1. Put on gloves

While working in the kitchen doing dishes or doing a task that involves coming in contact with harsh chemicals, make sure you have gloves on. Chemicals and harsh soapy water can make your skin dirty and weak and all your efforts to make your nails look healthy will go down the drain.
