Ingredients
3 cup finely chopped Strawberries
2 cups sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1st wash and rinse strawberries. Dry them with the cotton cloth.
Take a medium-sized saucepan and add chopped strawberries sauté for a few seconds.
Procedure
Now add the sugar and lemon juice stir continuously on a slow flame.
The strawberries will leave their juices and begin to cook.
Stir in between till strawberries soften and are cooked.
It will take around 20 to 25 minutes from the start till the end to cook the jam.
When the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan, it means It’s done. Do not overcook the mixture it will make thick and hard texture.
For Testing
Take a spoonful of jam on the plate.
If it sets on cooling it means it’s done.
If there is water separation it means to need to cook for a few minutes.
Let the jam cool completely.
Pour it in a sterilized bottle or jar.
You can adjust the sugar portion as per your taste.
It will remain fresh for 2 months.
