Mushroom Brown Rice
A healthy rice option, brown rice has more fibre than white rice. The mushrooms add a delightful flavour to the dish. Mushroom also increases the nutritional value of the entire dish.
- 1 cup Brown rice Washed
- 10 Mushrooms Washed and sliced
- 1 Onion Chopped
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 Green capsicum Chopped
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- Salt To taste
- 2 cups Water
Wash the brown rice with water
In a pan add butter and onions, saute till pink.
Add mushrooms, saute till they wilt.
Now add the capsicum and ginger garlic paste, saute for 2 seconds and add pre-washed brown rice. Saute for 5 minutes.
Add salt, pepper and 2 cups of hot water.
Cook for 15 minutes or till the rice is done.
Mushroom rice is ready!! Serve hot with any soup of your choice.
