Recently Karan Johar opened up about his perception about the myth of masculinity and also how it affects him as a father
There are a plethora of opinions about masculinity in the world. This stereotypes talking have come to define our lives. Considering this, one has to take the decision every day in a life. If you are a girl/woman, you should behave like this, if you are a boy/man you should know about certain things. These myths become a vital part of everyone’s life. Well, it is not true with the Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, he proved it with this conversation.
Karan Johor got candid about this myth on this issue and he discussed how its affected his personal life till now. He also spoke about his connection with his two kids and he does not want their life to be signified as stereotypes of being a girl or a boy!
In Instagram Karan shared a video talking about the masculinity and he said Masculinity or femininity is being comfortable in your own skin.”
The actor also said that he would never like to raise his children this way. He mentioned If my girl wants to wear shorts, she shouldn’t be called a tomboy; she should be called sporty.
I would not say things like a girl must wear pink! No. My son likes pink, let him wear pink.”
He said that as he was the only child to his mom and he has been a daughter and a son to his mother.
He went on to say, “Many times, I have been a son & a daughter; my mother chose whatever part she needs.”
Now Karan Johor is all set to produce Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson starrer 2 point 0 in Hindi. The movie is scheduled to release in 2020.
