1. Aamir’s Fondness For Tennis
Aamir Khan represented his school in lawn tennis in several state level championships and Roger Federer is his favourite tennis player.
2. His Silent Experimental Film
When Aamir was just 16 years of age, he, along with his friend Aditya Bhattacharya (Filmmaker Basu Bhattacharya’s son), made a silent experimental film called Paranoia, which was funded by Dr. Sriram Lagu.
3. He Worked As Backstage Crew In A Theatre
Aamir joined a theatre group called Avantar where he worked backstage for two years. It was theatre which encouraged him to become an actor.
4. He Became An Actor Against His Father’s Wishes
Aamir decided to become an actor against his father’s wish.
5. His First Feature Film
The first feature film that Aamir worked in, was a documentary made by the students of Film and Television Institute of India. It was named “Holi”. The credits of the film addressed him as Aamir Hussain Khan, which happens to be his real name.
