Gudi Padwa Amrakhand Recipe



curd or yogurt made from half a liter of milk.

2 mangoes, medium size chopped.

4 cardamom crushed.

a pinch of saffron strands.

1/2 cup sugar or as required.

cashews,rasins & saffron for garnishing.


➔Hung the curd in muslin or cheese cloth for 3-4 hours.

➔Make puree of the mangoes.

➔Add the thick hung curd to the blender along with crushed cardamom, saffron and sugar blend till smooth

➔Pour in individual serving bowls.

➔Add mango puree.

➔Chill and serve the amrakhand.

Note – 1. If possible use alphonso mangoes taste would be better.

  1. You can add milk as per the thickness requirement.
Tip – Goes best with Puri,Roti or paratha !
