Indians just love to celebrate and no one can take the festive spirit out of us. And why not, it is said that in India there are 34 crore gods and each is worshipped by people depending on what religious faith they choose to follow.
Celebrations are in our genes as we Indians are obsessed with festivals, food, and getting for decked up for no matter what the occasion is, diwali, dashera, ganesh chaturthi, gudi padawa, makar sankranti, tij, Id etc.
It is said that you can take an Indian out of India, but you can’t take India out of an Indian. As the world is expanding and Indians are spreading across the globe, they make sure to celebrate nonetheless so that the next generation feels attached to their roots and traditions.
So even those who are now settled abroad for good, make sure to celebrate all the festivals. The younger generation should understand the significance of each and every festivals like rakhi which celebrates the bond of love between a brother and a sister or diwali during which we worship goddess lakshmi who blesses us with wealth and prosperous life. The NRIs kids should know that dasera is celebrated to mark the return to lord Rama from vanvas and diwali is celebrated when he reached Ayodhya.
