Methi and Onion Thalipeeth Recipe

For 4 to 5 Thalipeeth

  • 1 cup Finely chopped fenugreek leaves
  • 1 Small finely chopped onion
  • 2 Green chilies
  • 4 Cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp Turmeric powder

For Dough

  • 1.5 cups Sorghum flour
  • 1/2 cup Wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup Chickpea flour Salt
  • Red chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder To taste
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Oil

Method

1. Begin by mixing all the ingredients together to form a smooth dough, adding water as needed to achieve the right consistency.

2. Heat a non-stick pan with a teaspoon of oil.

3. Take a portion of the dough and flatten it into a round shape on your palm.

4. Carefully place it on the pan. Using your fingers, make small holes in the thalipeeth and drizzle a teaspoon of oil around it.

6. Then, flip it over and cook on the other side until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
