5 DIY Coffee Face Mask Ideas for a Skin Pampering Session

The smell of your freshly brewed morning coffee cannot be compared to anything but how about making your skin better and brighter with some DIY coffee masks? The benefits of coffee are not ignorant to the world. It’s rich in antioxidant feature that cleanses the skin and stimulates blood flow is what helps to fight many skincare problems. Things You Need to Take Care:

  1. Whenever you plan to use any ingredient on your skin or want to make it a part of your daily skincare routine, make sure you do a patch test before finally using it.
  2. Certain ingredients should be used with extra care. For example, if you’re planning to use the lemon-coffee mask do not go out in the sun as it can cause harm to your skin.
  3. Scrubs and face masks should be made using different types of coffee. When it comes to face masks you can use the instant coffee powder and for scrubs, you can go for ground coffee beans as they exfoliate your skin better.
  4. If you’re allergic to any of the below-mentioned ingredients, make sure you completely avoid using it.

Five DIY Coffee based Face Masks

1. Coffee Face Mask for Oily Skin

Coffee powder and lemon face mask 

Ingredients

•Coffee powder (1tbsp)

•Lemon juice (1tbsp) 

Method to Prepare the Mask

•Pour the ingredients in a bowl and make a fine paste. 

•Apply the paste on your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.

•Let the mask dry and gently massage in a circular motion. 

•Wash the mask off with normal water and wipe your face with a clean towel 

This is one of my most favourite masks. If you have oily skin just like me, this one should work wonders for you. You can apply this mask once a week or maybe twice for better results. 

2. Coffee Mask for Acne-prone Skin

Milk and coffee face mask 

Ingredients

•Milk (1tbsp) 

•Coffee powder (2tbsp) 

Method to Prepare the Mask

•Pour the required quantity of each ingredient in a bowl and mix it well to make a fine paste 

•Apply this mask on your face and gently massage for five minutes

•Leave the mask on till it dries and then wash it off with water.

Ever since I was a kid, whenever it has come to skincare, milk has been that go-to ingredient and mixing it with coffee makes it, even more, better in all ways. You can use this mask twice or thrice a week to see better results.

3. Coffee Mask to Moisturize Your Skin

Coffee powder and honey face mask 

Ingredients

Coffee powder (1tbsp) 

Honey (1tsbp) 

Method to Prepare the Mask

•Put the two ingredients in a bowl as per the mentioned quantity and mix it well to make a fine paste 

•Before applying the paste make sure you have cleaned your face and wiped it dry

•Apply the mask and leave it on for 15-20 minutes till it dries off 

•Wash your face with warm water and wipe it gently with a clean towel 

After a hectic week, this mask is sure to make your skin softer and hydrated. Honey has many added benefits when it comes to skincare and combined with coffee it can only make your skin healthier. You can use this mask once or twice a week to see the desired results. 

4. Coffee Mask for Dry Skin

Coffee powder and olive oil mask 

Ingredients

•Coffee powder (1tbsp) 

•Olive oil (1tbsp) 

Method to Prepare the Mask

•Put the two ingredients mentioned in a bowl and give it a good mix to make a fine paste 

•Apply the mask and leave it on for 5-10 minutes

•Wash off the mask with warm water and wipe your face with a clean towel 

Olive oil has a bunch of benefits and is rich in a lot of vitamins that make it good for your skin and when used with coffee that has benefits of its own, this mask can prove to be very good for your skin. You can use it twice a week to see better results. 

5. Anti-aging Coffee Mask  

Coconut oil and coffee powder mask 

Ingredients

•Coffee powder (2tbsp) 

•Coconut oil (1tbsp) 

Method to Prepare the Mask

•Mix the two ingredients in a bowl and make a fine paste out of it 

•Apply the paste generously on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes

•Let the mask dry and wash it off with normal water 

This mask can deeply nourish your skin and reduce the signs of ageing. To see better results, use this mask twice a week.
