‘Fat’ is the scariest of all words a woman would like to be associated with. The word ‘fat’ is associated with being out of shape and, secondly, with an unhealthy body which ultimately becomes the breeding ground for many diseases. Here are 5 quick ways for women to prevent weight gain.

Increase your physical activity:

Don’t fret if the gym is far off or the membership fee is expensive. There are other ways by which you can be in shape without spending money. Walk for about half an hour every morning. In case you want to do your workout indoors you can go for the jumping rope, jog at a spot, do sit-ups or climb up and down the stairs. The fact is there is no short cut to control weight. Physical activity is a must.

Choose the right foods:

Physical activities show the desired effect when you combine it with good foods. If you have hectic schedule go for food stuff that are either baked or grilled. If out for dinner try to choose salads that are not topped with cheese or croutons. Making salads at home is also the best way to healthy eating.

The myth of skipping meals:

Never skip your meals. It is all related to the metabolism rate. When you don’t eat the metabolism rate is slow because the body conserves the energy for future use. This energy is stored in the form of fat. So when you exercise you are actually not getting rid of the old fat that is already there but of the newly formed fat.

Avoid stress:

Stress is a factor that leads to skipping meals and gulping down of fast food. Stress also keeps you away from exercises. Combat stress by taking a walk in the lawn of your office premise. Keeping the eyes closed for a few minutes also relieves you of stress. The best way is to take rest for a few minutes.

Staying hydrated helps control weight gain:

Drinking a good amount of water half an hour before and after meal if the best way to stay healthy and in good shape. It prevents overeating. Moreover, those who exercise regularly loss good amount of sweat and so they need adequate amount of water intake. Avoid having soda and coffee frequently. They increase your sugar intake.
